BASEBOARD and RIB FRAME CONSTRUCTION

Aside from accurate measurements, the most important aspect of building a hull is constructing
the frame so that it holds together, regardless of outside forces. A weak hull will need repair or
replacement after sinks, rams, drops, the family pet and other violent events. This animation
describes a method of notched rib-to-baseboard construction. It walks you through cutting, gluing
and trimming. Each panel of the animation contains top, end, and side views, so that a good three
dimensional picture is available.
